The milky way Galaxy jetting out over these fragile structures in the California Desert known as "Tufa". These structures are small and very fragile, much like sand clauds you may find at the beach, they crumble when touched. This particular night was during the height of the Perseids meteor shower, and I was lucky to catch this fireball in one frame.
The classic Delicate arch, milky way self portrait. This time with just a faint hint of moonlight illuminating the arch as it crests the horizon.
